About Us

I love beautifully knitted fine cashmere and have a fascination for colour and designs. When I launched The Travelwrap Company in August 2007 I tried to bring these two factors together in one unique product, the Travelwrap, a simple knitted cashmere wrap that was to be…. a very ‘special’ blanket for grown up girls!

Alongside our beautifully designed and presented Scottish cashmere wraps and other small cashmere products we now offer a range of luxury leather travel accessories, all wrapped and ready to be presented as gifts or just as a little luxurious self-indulgence. I hope you enjoy browsing through our new site which has a feel of ‘raw British luxury’. All the outdoor images are taken in and around the New Forest where we are based: a combination of the finest cashmere and the great British outdoors, two very complementary raw ingredients.

Ethical trading and high quality manufacturing are essential to us. Our mill in Scotland is one of the longest established in the UK and renowned internationally for the quality of their cashmere knitting. Our mill actively participates in programmes to help prevent over-intensive grazing of pastures by cashmere goats, making our cashmere a sustainable product. The fibres of cashmere that go to make up our cashmere products are dyed at our mill in Scotland and the colourful cashmere yarns provide a palette full of richness and depth. Our leather travel accessories are made and designed in France, by craftsmen who have been designing and making fine leather goods in their workshop since 1950.

We’ve been lucky enough to win some great awards (including Luxury Gift of the Year and Best New Business) over the last couple of years, which has really helped us to spread the word about The Travelwrap Company, but our strongest testimonies come from our growing base of loyal customers.
