The last ceramic poppy has been planted at the Tower of London, bringing the total number to 888,246 – one for every British and Colonial soldier who died in the First World War. If you haven’t seen the installation yet, there’s still time. Volunteers will begin dismantling it next Wednesday, leaving the Weeping Window until the end of the month. The window and some of the poppies will then tour the country, before being permanently on show at the Imperial War Museum in London and Manchester. If you plan to visit, read our recent post on near the Tower of London, and the at the London’s Imperial War Museum.
