Looking for inspiration for a stylish weekend break? We’ve teamed six of Europe’s hot new hotels with our new collection of Silkwool wraps.

Set among orchards and olive groves on its own island in San Marco lagoon, this Marriott’s long-awaited Venice (above). 266 rooms and suites – some with private pools – are spread across five accommodation ‘experiences’, while facilities include five restaurants, pool, cooking academy and, opening shortly, the largest spa in the region. The biggest draw though has to be the view across the lagoon to Venice: your own Canaletto. From £242 a night. Teamed with Silkwool wrap in Silk Purple.

Spanish Renaissance meets modern Madrid in this five-star boutique hotel which opened on the city’s Gran Via in February. Cuisine, devised by two Michelin-starred chef Ramón Freixa, is served in a beautiful penthouse restaurant, while the rooftop terrace (above) offers some of the best views in Madrid. From around £167 a night. Teamed with Silkwool wrap in Tulip.

Poised to open this month, the sumptious Aria celebrates the city’s musical heritage. Each room represents a different musical genre – classical, opera (above), contemporary or jazz – with artwork commemorating composers and artists, from James Brown to Hungary’s own Franz Liszt. There’s a High Note SkyBar, a Music Garden and a Stardivari Restaurant. From £206 a night. Teamed with Silkwool wrap in Natural.

Due to open shortly in Marylebone’s Seymour Street, this will be the Zetter Group’s much-anticipated third hotel in London. Zetter loves a theme and this one is the ‘former home’ of an imaginery Uncle Seymour, hence a cosy, slightly more masculine feel than the Clerkenwell Townhouse (the private residence of Zetter’s Great Aunt Wilhelmina, in case you were wondering). The restaurant, meanwhile, will offer cuisine by much-admired French chef Bruno Loubet. From around £240 a night. Teamed with Silkwool wrap in Tangerine.

Opening next month, Hotel Sant Francesc is set in a restored 19-century mansion in the historic centre of Palma. The chic urban bolthole will have just 42 contemporary rooms and suites, and boast a terrace with a pool, patio bar, garden restaurant, gym and spa. From around £190 a night. Teamed with Silkwool wrap in Leaf.G-Rough, Rome

The extraordinary five-star G-Rough is set to open next month near Piazza Navona. Think Italian luxury with a generous helping of whimsy, showcasing iconic Italian designers and brands from the 1930s to the 1950s housed in a renovated 17th-century building. G-Rough promises lifestyle managers, virtual butlers and rooms of near art-museum quality. Watch this space. From £208 a night. Teamed with Silkwool wrap in Black.
