I know we haven’t quite finished with Christmas and here I am mentioning the E word. But Easter is late next year (20-21 April) which could have repercussions if you’re planning a ski holiday in Europe.

We’re getting excited about the ski season ahead. Where to go? Where to stay? To start us off, we asked our friends at SNO Ski Holidays  to come up with five of their cosiest luxury Alpine properties.

Hot on the heels of the Good Hotel Guide César awards comes Sawday’s British Hotel Awards, announced to coincide with the launch of the new edition of Special Places to Stay British Hotels & Inns this week. 

This is Bighorn, an eight-bedroom chalet with outdoor hot tub, exercise pool and its own private helipad.
