The end of our Travelwrap Journey - a note from Niamh…
For me, Travelwrap was never just a business, it was part of my identity. So it is with a sad heart that I share the news with you that we are approaching the end of the Travelwrap journey. After months of exploring routes to making the business work in an increasingly competitive space and financially difficult climate, it feels like the only way forward is to close the doors of Travelwrap...
I love the product that we brought to market back in 2007 and not many days have gone by without wrapping one round me. More than a blanket or an accessory, a Travelwrap is a special blanket, a big hug and an extra layer - and a very elegant one at that.
There are lots of people and other businesses that have made Travelwrap what it has become… too many to mention but here are a few: Johnstons, our 200-year-old mill in Scotland, have worked and supported us since the beginning of our journey. Shuna, our Travelwrap designer and the creative team at the mill who have helped us design and knit our collections.
My team here who have worked tirelessly alongside me, covering every detail and coming up with inspiration and ideas for how we make it work. Travelwrap is like a little family - we have looked after each other, our customers and our brand.
I also want to say thank you to all of our Travelwrap customers who have been part of this journey. It has been an incredible joy to hear your wonderful feedback about how your Travelwraps have accompanied you on your adventures!
We expect our online Travelwrap doors to stay open until the end of January’ 25 and we have some fabulous discounts for our customers in our Travelwrap Sale...
Niamh, CEO & Founder
We were overwhelmed with messages of support, sadness and stories of Travelwrap regarding the news that Travelwrap is closing.
Thank you all so much and I will respond to the individual messages as soon as I can.
We have also been inundated with orders which is a joyful celebration of how much the brand means to you all, thank you.
The weather conditions in Scotland have been harsh so it’s taking a few days to get the stock to us and of course we are a small team so the orders will take us a few days to process and dispatch.
We have had many orders for certain designs and there will be a few we not be able to fulfil but we will let you know as soon as possible and hopefully be able to offer an alternative.
Thank you again for your patience, Niamh
