If you thought spas were somewhere Mums and Dads could escape to for a few hours' peace and quiet, think again. An increasing number are introducing treatments for teens and younger children. Here are some of the best programmes.Little girl meditating, Six Senses Porto Elounda Golf & Spa ResortSix Senses introduced its first kids’ wellness programme at Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort in Crete in 2016. Held in the resort’s Kids Ark, the programme is a combination of games, dance, yoga, gardening, do-it-yourself wellness treatments and learning workshops, all designed to help kids be healthier and to integrate wellness into everyday life. From €40; three-day courses from €100.Little girl having make-up applied, Hotel Die PostHotel Die Post in Bad Kleinkirchheim, Austria, has a great range of wellness treatments for the whole family, from a swimwear sauna to beauty hours for Mums & Daughter (body scrub for Mum, chocolate body pack for Daughter) and pit stops for Dads & Sons (Dad has a back massage while Son gets a hot stone massage). There are also lots of treatments kids can have on their own, including manicures, pedicures and make-up application. From around €6 per treatment or from €49 for a treatment with a parent. Spa, Four Seasons SeychellesFour Seasons offers spoiling treatments for kids and teens at a number of its spas. At Four Seasons Seychelles there's a Forever Young programme for teens and a Kids Spa for little ones. The former is particularly well thought out with treatments specifically developed for teenage skins. Mother and Daughter and Father and Son treatments are also available. Prices on application.Family yogaImage: Illya Vinogradov/thinkstock

Little ones get their own treatment menu, which incudes partial massage (face, scalp, arm and foot), facials and junior shiatsu. Prices range from $360 for a 60-minute Mother and Daughter Facial.Little girl with face maskImage: evgenyatamanenko/thinkstock

The treatments only contain organic ingredients, such as plants and essential oils, making them perfect for sensitive young skins. From £30 for a manicure and from £55 for a facial.
